Pongal Celebration in Albany

Thai Pongal is a Tamil harvest festival. Thai Pongal is celebrated over four days, usually spanning January 13th to 16th in the Gregorian calendar. This corresponds to the last day of the Tamil month Maargazhi to the third day of the Tamil month Thai. In Albany NYATS organized the THORANAM event for pongal celebration. Albany Tamil Padasalai was given 30 mins slot for skit in which our kids did a performance about our pongal celebration in traditional way. It was applaud by entire crowd and was consider one of highlight of entire event itself. ATP would like to THANK YOU all teachers, Parents and Kids for the support to execute this skit in very short period of time.

Tamil School Drama Club

Tamil School kids drama club displayed a stunning performance on Tamil New Year event organized by Albany Tamil Sangam. Drama Club created a glow in the dark dress for kids and performed as Fish and other sea world creatures.
